2. Overview

We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide a functioning website, to respond to your inquiries, or on the basis of your consent. The legal bases are the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act (TDDDG).

3. Hosting by Squarespace

This website is hosted by Squarespace. The provider is Squarespace Ireland Limited, Le Pole House, Ship Street Great, Dublin 8, Ireland.

When you visit the website, Squarespace processes technically necessary data, in particular your IP address, the date and time of access, the page visited, your browser type, and your operating system. This data is required to deliver the website and keep it secure. Images and the Satoshi font are also served from Squarespace's servers; no data is transferred to other providers in the process.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Squarespace. Data may be transferred to the parent company, Squarespace Inc., in the United States; it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

4. Cookies and Consent

On your first visit, a notice appears in which you decide whether to accept optional cookies. Without your consent, only technically necessary cookies are set:

  • crumb: security cookie from Squarespace that protects forms against misuse. Valid for the duration of the session.

  • ss_performanceCookiesAllowed and ss_marketingCookiesAllowed: store your choice in the cookie notice. Valid for up to one year.

The legal basis for necessary cookies is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We set optional cookies only with your consent (§ 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. To do so, click "Cookie Settings" at the very bottom of any page.

5. Google Analytics 4

With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the website, for example which pages they view and for how long. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics is loaded only after you have given your consent in the cookie notice. Before that, no data is transferred to Google. After you consent, Google Analytics sets the cookies ga and ga_6R6HCHXNTD, which are valid for up to two years. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses in the EU.

The collected data is automatically deleted after 14 months. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Data may be transferred to the United States; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google.

You can withdraw your consent at any time via "Cookie Settings." Any analytics cookies already set will then be removed the next time a page loads.

6. Contact Form

We use HubSpot for the contact form. The provider is HubSpot Ireland Limited, 1 Sir John Rogerson's Quay, Dublin 2, Ireland. The form is loaded from HubSpot servers in the EU; in the process, your IP address is transferred to HubSpot.

When you submit the form, we process your first name, last name, email address, and message, as well as your company and phone number if provided. The data is stored in our customer relationship management system (CRM) at HubSpot and used solely to respond to your inquiry.

The legal basis is the consent you give via the checkbox (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) and, if your inquiry relates to a contract, the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

The data is deleted once your inquiry has been fully processed and no statutory retention obligations apply. We have concluded a data processing agreement with HubSpot. Data may be transferred to HubSpot, Inc. in the United States; HubSpot is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

7. Appointment Booking and Video Calls

To book an initial call, we use HubSpot's meeting scheduling tool (provider as in Section 6). When you book, we process your first name, last name, email address, company, and the selected time slot, as well as your website, phone number, topic, and the email addresses of any additional guests you invite, if provided. If you add guests, please make sure they agree to this.

We hold calls via Microsoft Teams. The provider is Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland. In the process, your name, email address, IP address, and technical information about your device are processed, as well as audio during the call and, if you turn on your camera, video. Calls are not recorded. Data may be transferred to Microsoft Corporation in the United States; Microsoft is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Microsoft.

The legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures at your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is deleted when it is no longer required for this purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

8. Contact by Email or Phone

If you email or call us, we process the data you provide in order to handle your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). The data is deleted once your request has been resolved and no retention obligations apply.

9. Google Search Console

We use Google Search Console to monitor how well this website can be found in Google Search. No scripts are loaded on this website for this purpose, and none of your data is transferred to Google. We only receive aggregated reports on search queries from Google.

10. Links to Social Networks

On this website, we link to our profiles on Instagram and LinkedIn. These are simple links, not embedded plugins. Data is transferred only when you click a link and visit the respective platform. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies there.

11. Storage Period

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose. Statutory retention obligations, for example under German commercial and tax law (up to ten years), remain unaffected.

12. Your Rights

You have the right at any time to:

  • access the data stored about you (Art. 15 GDPR)

  • have inaccurate data corrected (Art. 16 GDPR)

  • have your data erased (Art. 17 GDPR)

  • restrict processing (Art. 18 GDPR)

  • receive your data in a portable format (Art. 20 GDPR)

  • object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR)

  • withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
